Hello! My name is Tess Morris. I am so excited to be a part of Lighthouse Charter School.
A little bit about me: I have been married for 17 years and have two children, Bailey 15 and Ethan 12. I started teaching back in 2001. I have taught Kindergarten, First grade and Fourth grade, but Kindergarten is by far my favorite grade to teach.
I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Child Development from California State University, Sacramento and my Teaching Credential from Chapman University. In addition, I have an Associate of Science Degree in Mathematics and Science. Because I am a life-long learner, I would love to continue on and get my Master’s Degree in Curriculum Development.
My goal as a teacher is to make learning fun and interesting. I want my students to look forward to coming to school, be engaged in their learning while at school, and make connections about what they have learned when they are home with their families. I want them to discover the world around them through asking questions and participating in hands-on exploration. Most importantly, I want my students to develop a love of learning that they can take with them and apply to their lives even after leaving my class. I feel honored and privileged to help foster the next generation of life-long learners.
