Reem Yateem

Hi! My name is Reem Yateem, and I am honored to be a part of the Lighthouse Community!

I was born in Bahrain, a tiny island located in the Arabian Gulf, where I grew-up bilingual in both English and Arabic. In 2011 I moved to Davis, California to start my undergraduate education in Human Development and Psychology. After graduating I traveled to Costa Rica to teach English, while working on a conservation project to assist coffee farmers to promote organic farming methods. Following that I returned and taught preschool at Peregrine focusing on implementing sustainable projects with the students. I received my teaching credential with UC Davis, while teaching both Third Grade and kindergarten. I first realized I wanted to be a teacher in high school, since I truly believe it is the best way to make a positive impact on our society!

I look forward to meeting all of you, and to make an optimistic influence in West Sacramento!
