Dear Lighthouse Charter School families:
I am extremely grateful for the support and patience you have provided during our transition to our new and permanent site. Our grassroots movement has resulted in the opening of a school that promises to provide an educational experience unlike any other. It is my promise, as your Superintendent, that your voice will be heard and I will be accessible to discuss any concerns that may arise throughout the school year.
It is my hope to create a clear process for families to express concerns or questions directly to me so that our communication remains open. Our goals are to support the staff, parents and students so that we can work as a team to resolve any issues that may come up throughout the school-year.
For this reason, I will be scheduling 2 monthly meetings with families to meet with me over coffee to discuss any concerns or issues. From day one, I have stood in front of you, our families, and walked our community with a simple promise to include your voice in our decisions and goals for our future and I am committed to that agreement.
I would like to schedule our first meeting with the Superintendent this Thursday: September 13th.
Due to parent schedules, I will provide two meeting times:
7:30-8:30 a.m. and 6:00-7:00 p.m. Meetings will take place on the LCS site in the CSUS room.
It is my honor to serve as your School Superintendent and I look forward to seeing you this week for our first Monthly Parent Meeting with the Superintendent.
Steve Lewis, Superintendent
