Message from Superintendent Lewis-Town Hall Recap

Good afternoon LCS Families,

It was a pleasure to meet with  our school community at last week’s Town Hall Meeting.  My priority is to better serve you as we move toward our future together.  I would like to recap our meeting for those who were unable to attend.  Should you have any questions or like to meet with me, I am always available.  Simply call the office or send me an email and I will make myself available.

I began the meeting by stating that our organization must do a better job keeping our stakeholders updated with the progress of our future site.  I reviewed our meeting at last night’s Board Meeting and we will be reengaging the facilities committee so that our families are involved as we locate our permanent location.  I will be using the activity that was completed at our Town Hall Meeting to ensure we are creating the educational experience you are expecting from our organization.  The Lighthouse Charter School will continue to focus on creating a learning environment that engages students, staff, community and our families in learning.   Our Core Values remain at the forefront of our next steps and include:  Positive Attitude, Self-Reflection and Collaboration.

At our meeting, I was able to hear what is most important to our families around 3 core areas:  Climate/Culture, Our Students, and our facilities.  Our next steps will be to include you every step of the way.  As we have information to share, I will be doing so in writing as well as in meeting format with your facilities committee.

It is critical that we continue to work as an effective team.

Should you have any questions, call or email me at anytime.
